Howe Gets New Head Coach For 2nd Consecutive Year

2011 Coaching Change: Howe Bulldogs
Old Head Coach: Corey Crain -- Resigns after only one season with the Bulldogs leading them to a 9-2 record. The 9 wins is their best record in 13 seasons.
New Head Coach: Joe Watson -- Was an assistant and defensive coordinator with the Bulldogs. Will be the 24th head coach in Howe history. Watson started his career as an assistant and offensive coordinator at 1A Blue Ridge from 1989-1993. He then we to 1A Whitewright until 1996 before toing to 1A Celeste in 1996. In 1998, Watson went back to Blue Ridge and then got his first head coaching job at Dawson where he led them to a 3-7 record in one season. He left there to become an assistant at 2A Tom Bean for 5 seasons. In 2006, Watson got his 2nd Head Coaching job at Blue Ridge where he led them to a 6-14 record over 2 seasons. He then came to Howe in 2008.
Team News: The Bulldogs 2010 season ended a 6 year losing streak and 9 consecutive non-winning seasons.
