Gary Joseph will once again be leading the Tigers to what could be another championship season. They rolled through their 2010 regular season opponents with little trouble. The Tigers had big wins over Galena Park North Shore (44-6), Alief Taylor (45-20), Beaumont West Brook (45-21) and Katy Cinco Ranch (56-3) during the regular season. All of these teams were state ranked.
Once in the playoffs, Katy rolled through their first two games against Houston Bellaire and Cypress-Fairbanks. Their rematch against Galena Park North Shore in the Regionals was a classic in front of a sold out stadium. In the Quarterfinals, they took on eventual state champions Pearland in a game that will be remembered forever in front of 41,368 fans at Rice Stadium. Pearland scored in dramatic fashion at the end of the game to end the Tiger season.
2011 looks bright in Tiger land. With Brooks Haack coming back at quarterback and Junior running back Adam Taylor controlling the running game, the Tigers are one of the favorites to go all the way again.
