2011 Coaching Change: Pilot Point Bearcats
Old Head Coach: Blake Feldt -- Leaving for 4A Buda Hays Consolidated. He led the Bearcats for 6 years to a 50-22-0 overall record including a Class 2A State Championship in 2009. Coach Feldt began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Texas from 1987-88. He also was an assistant coach at Appalachian State, SMU and Midland. His first head coaching job was with Class 3A Breckenridge in 2000-2004 where his teams went 23-29-0. He has an overall record of 73-51-0.

New Head Coach: Rob Best -- Has been the offensive coordinator for the past five seasons. Coach Best was a 3 year letterman and 2 year starter for Texas Tech. He was as an assistant at Texas Tech from 1981-85. When he was there, Feldt was an offensive lineman for the Red Raiders from 1980-82. He also coached at Appalachian State with Feldt and was an assistant at Buffalo before taking the position with the Bearcats.
Team News: The Bearcats finished 4-6 last season to snap a streak of 33 consecutive winning seasons dating back to 1977.
