Rio Vista Hires Head Coach For Third Consecutive Year

2011 Coaching Change: Rio Vista Eagles

Old Head Coach: Seth Hobbs -- Leaving after only one year with the Eagles going 3-7. The was his first head coaching job. Before that he Was the offensive coordinator at South Garland. He was also an assistant at Farmersville.

New Head Coach: John Odell -- Has been an assistant at 5A New Braunfels and 5A San Marcos. Before that he was a head coach at 2A Nixon-Smiley 1995-1997 (20-13-0), 2A Grandview 1998-2001 (25-20-0) and 3A Giddings 2002 (3-8-0). Odell will be the Eagles fourth head coach in as many years.

Team News: The Eagles are on a 7 year losing streak and the most wins in a season over the last 10 years is only 6.
