Tony Valastro Brings His Winning Tradition To Galveston Ball

2011 Coaching Change: Galveston Ball Tors

Old Head Coach: David Suggs -- Leaving after coaching the Tors to a 6-15-0 record over the last two seasons.

New Head Coach: Tony Valastro -- From 2A East Chambers where he led the Buccaneers to a 47-18-0 record over the last six seasons. He won four district championships and made the playoffs every year with East Chambers. He was the head coach at 3A La Grange from 1994-2004 where he led the Leopards to a 90-42-1 record during those eleven seasons. He won a state championship there in 2000. He was also on state championship teams as the offensive coordinator with Waxahachie and Groveton. He has an all-time head coaching record of 137-60-1.

Team News: The Tors were 1-9 last season and did not win a district game despite moving down to class 4A. 2010 was the worst season in school history (since 1892). They are now on a 4 year losing streak. Their game of the year is the Clash Of The Causeway vs. La Marque.
