Mike Says: Tyler Chapel Hill is our #1 team in Class 3A and have a very balanced attack rushing for 932 yards and passing for 1104. The problem is that QB Avery Saenz will be out 8-10 weeks with an ankle injury. He had thrown for 10 TDs in first 2 games of the season before getting hurt early in the Carthage game. The Bulldogs did hold on for the win though and then beat 4A Hallsville last week without him. The problem is that Lindale is not Hallsville in fact they beat Hallsville in an away game by 13. I made the mistake of not picking Lindale last time in a game of the week and I will not do it twice. We do have Tyler Chapel Hill #1 and they will be until they lose but the loss of Saenz is too much. The EAGLES win 28-17!!
Chris Says: Even with Saenz in the game for Tyler Chapel Hill, this is a classic trip-up game for the Bulldogs. Look at their two opponents in common and you see why I am still high on Lindale. They did me right in their second game when they surprised everyone in the state (but me) and took out Carthage. I would say that this will make believers out of the rest of the state, but they will just blame it on the loss of Saenz. Either way, Lindale wins it 25-20!!
