Mike Says: There are some good runners in this game with Bowie's Russell Hansbrough (328 yards) along with Martin's Kyle Hicks 391 yards (10.29 avg) and Cameron Williams 335 yards (9.85 avg). Martin's defense is pretty good also even though they gave up 42 to a very good offensive team in Flower Mound. LB Jordan Avery (37 tackles) and DB Devonte Fields (2 INTs 18 tackles) head up that group. Bowie played good against Odessa and New Orleans, LA Karr but blew up against Dallas Skyline. In the pre-season, I had Bowie ranked higher but Martin has proved that they are the better team. They have 931 rushing yards over 3 games. The WARRIORS win 21-17!!

Chris Says: 4-5A seems to be a two horse race and the two go head to head this very first week of district play.  That isn't to say that the rest of the district is out of the running already, but the winner of this game certainly has a head start.  Bowie was exposed when they went up against a tough Dallas Skyline, but Martin's defensive struggles against Flower Mound is not to be overlooked either.  In the end though, Bowie crumbled when pressured and Martin fought back when pressed.  That will be the difference in this matchup as Arlington Martin gets the win 42-35!!!
