2012 Coaching Change: Houston C.E. King Panthers
Old Head Coach: Lydell Wilson -- Leaving for Katy Seven Lakes. He coached the Panthers for 2 seasons going 8-12. His only other head coaching position was at Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated where he led the Mustangs to an overall 50-40 record over 8 years. His 2007 Mustangs team led by Jacquizz Rogers won the Class 4A Division I State Championship. He has also served as an assistant at Fort Bend Willowridge, Galveston Ball and Victoria Stroman.
New Head Coach: Don Price -- From 3A Hamshire-Fannett where he led the Longhorns to a 3-17-0 record over the last 2 years. He was also the head coach at Barbers Hill for 12 years going 99-35. His other head coaching job was at Maypearl. His all-time coaching record is 108-65-1.
Team News: The Panthers have gone 27-33 over the last 6 years. They will remain in District 19-4A with the recent UIL re-alignment. Other schools in the district are Crosby, Dayton, Humble, Humble Kingwood Park, Humble Summer Creek, Barbers Hill, New Caney and New Caney Porter.
