2012 Coaching Change: Callisburg Wildcats
Old Head Coach: Kevin Hayes — Leaving after only 1 season with the Wildcats going 2-9. Was 3A Athens offensive coordinator for the last 2 seasons. Before that Hayes was the head coach at 2A/3A Teague where he led the Lions for 15 seasons to an overall 87-71-0 record. His all-time coaching record is 89-80 which puts him on our all-time wins list.
New Head Coach: Ritchie Pinckard -- From 2A DeKalb where he led the Bears for the past 2 seasons to a 13-8 record. He has also been a head coach at Garrison from 2005-2006 going 12-11. He has also been an assistant at 5A Houston Westside (2007) and the offensive coordinator at Mount Pleasant from 2008-2009.
Team News: THe Wildcats have gone 4-17 over the last 2 seasons. They will be staying in District 5-2A Division I with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Whitesboro, Pilot Point, Bowie, Boyd, Paradise and Ponder.
