Notes:
* Are moving back down to 4A after going 21-7 in their 2 seasons in 5A
* Went 1-19 in their first 2 seasons of varsity play (2006-2007) and have gone 46-12 since then

  • Mike Says: The Wildcats will be one of the favorites to win it all this year. The pass/catch duo or QB Heard and WR Jefferson will ring up lots of yards while OL Morris gives them time up front to get the ball downfield. The defense will feature a few good DB's in Schilleci and Sanches. Look for them to go 9-1 or 8-2 in the regular season. The only reason they would not be undefeated is because they play a very tough pre-district schedule with games against Aledo, Cedar Hill and Colleyville Heritage. The Rider game in district play will be for the district championship. Aledo and Rider will be their top competition for the Regional crown. The Wildcats are good and will make a good run to their 2nd championship game in 3 years.
  • Chris Says: Denton Guyer has been a solid team in Class 5A and with the drop down to 4A should be considered a threat to take home a state championship.   The Wildcats bring a ton of talent back from last season including 7 starters on offense.  This high-powered attack will thrill fans and even though they could drop three games during the regular season, they will be ready to run through the 4A competition come playoff time.
