Coaches Comments: We expect to come out strong offensively very early with all the returning starters. We run a "up tempo" spread offense that will have teams on their heels. I expect our conditioning to play a vital part early in the season. Defensively I expect us to be young, but aggressive. We are fast, but not real big on the defensive side. Special teams, we return a 2nd team All State punter and a 2 time All District Kicker, we feel good about them. District Outlook: Coldspring and Huffman expect to battle it out for the Championship once again with Liberty and Cleveland knocking on the door. Splendora will be much improved, while Tarkington and Shepherd look to change their winning ways.

Notes:
* Have gone 18-6 over the past 2 seasons but went 15-25 in Coach McEachern's first 4 seasons

  • Mike Says: The Falcons look strong this year with 14 returning starters from a 9-3 Regional team. QB Townley will lead a high scoring offense while LB Williams will head up a tough defense. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and come in 2nd behind Coldspring-Oakhurst in the district. After that they should make it to at least the Regionals in the Division II playoffs.
  • Chris Says: Huffman Hargrave brings back a lot of talent on both sides of the ball from a team whose only trip up in district last season was Coldspring-Oakhurst.  They knocked on the door to the district title last season, this is the year they bust it down.  The Falcons will take the title and a lot of confidence into the postseason.
