- Mike Says: The Lions are set for another great season. Last season, they defeated the eventual state runner-up Stamford in district play but fell to them in the playoffs. This year the offensive line will be solid and that will give Quarterback Jake Bumguardner time to do what he does best (everything...pass/run/kick). Look for them to go 9-1 or 10-0 in the regular season and make a run to at least the Quarterfinals. Munday will be their toughest competition in the region.
- Chris Says: Denney Faith has another fine season lined up for the Albany Lions. The bring back a solid core of starters on both the offense and defense. The away game against Munday will test them early, but look for the Lions to take the district and breeze into the playoffs. The drop to Division II play will into their hands come playoff time and they should face back up with Munday in the postseason.
