- Mike Says: The Texans made us look good last year with our pre-season prediction that they would win the Class 3A Division II Championship. Their defense played lights out only giving up 13.4 points per game. The lost lots of Seniors but they will bring back a strong defense again to make another run. They have built quite a tradition and that will continue with players like Kothmann and Mann. Look for them to go 9-1 or 10-0 in the regular season. Once in the playoffs, it looks like another trip to at least the Quarterfinals.
- Chris Says: Wimberley had one of those dream seasons last year. They fought back against some big odds to finish the job they started in seasons before to take the title. The Texans graduate what many think was the heart and soul of the team and will rely heavily on some new players to step up and continue the tradition. Coach Nelms will have the new Texans ready to play by postseason and while a repeat of their title run is doubtful, they will have another good playoff run.
