2011 JV Record: 8-2

Notes:
* Coach McGuire inherited a team that went 17-44 in the previous 6 years before he got here

  • Mike Says: The Longhorns are now on the top level of teams with coach McGuire leading the way. This years team will feature RB Gonzalez who can take it to the end zone on any play. Quarterback Hobbs, Running Back Rayford and Wide Receiver Adeboyejo add this very dangerous offense. They bring back 36 lettermen so look for them to go 8-2 or 7-3 in the regular season and come in 2nd or 3rd in the district behind DeSoto. They will be a Division II playoff team and will get to at least the Regionals. Their first 4 games of the year will all be highlight games with match-ups against Denton Guyer, Allen, Miami Florida Washington and DeSoto.
  • Chris Says: Cedar Hill is one of those teams that defies logic.  The are the smallest team in the district, but continually win anyway.   The Longhorns bring back 9 starters on offense including running backs, Laquvionte Gonzalez and Jared Rayford, plus quarterback, Damion Hobbs - a trio that notched 3,000 yards on the ground and combined for 41 touchdowns!  Yeah, they will be fine again this year.  While they may not win District 7-5A, it wouldn't surprise me if they did.  Once in the postseason, the Longhorns will be still playing three or four rounds in.
