The Eagles have won this match-up over the past 2 seasons by a combined score of 61-40. Allen has also won their 2 playoff match-ups winning the 1980 Class 3A Bi-District game 48-20 and the 2005 Class 5A Bi-District 21-7.
- Mike Says: This game will feature lots of star power with Allen featuring QB Oliver Pierce and OL Brad North while Cedar Hill has QB Damion Hobbs, RB Laquvionte Gonzalez and WR Quincy Adeboyejo. Last week the Longhorns beat Class 4A's top team Denton Guyer with ease. Meanwhile Allen showed off its brand new $60 million stadium and shutout Class 5A's top team Southlake Carroll 24-0 in front of an audience of over 20,000 fans. Cedar Hill has has lots of trouble with Allen in the past. Allen is coming off an emotional victory. With those two facts in mind...that is exactly why the Longhorns have a great chance at winning this one but the EAGLES win it 30-21!!
- Chris Says: Cedar Hill is a wildcard that shocked the Texas high school football world by knocking off the number one team in Class 4A - Denton Guyer. Is that a reflection of how talented Cedar Hill is or how overrated Denton Guyer was? We will find out in the next few weeks both of those answers. So is Allen that good? They not only smoked Southlake Carroll in front of 22,000 fans - but they shut the Dragons out. This time they will have to figure out how to win without the home crowd. This is probably the toughest one to predict this season. EAGLES defeat the Longhorns 21-14!!!
