  • Mike Says: The Cardinals had another good run last year as they always seem to be one of the Valleys best. This years team should have a good shot at the district championship again. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 during the regular season with their game against Harlingen South being for the district championship. Once in the playoffs, they are good for 2 or 3 rounds.
  • Chris Says: Brandon Garza looks to build on last years numbers and has a pretty good team round him.  While not a lot of starters return, there are quite a few with game experience.  Coach Manny Gomez consistently brings up the next class of athletes and puts a fine football team on the field.  This year will be no different.  Expect the Cardinals to win the district and last two rounds before someone a little deeper closes the door on their season.
