- Mike Says: The Mustangs bring back 11 starters from last years Quarterfinals team. As usual, optimism is high for the Mustangs as they will feature a strong offensive line led by Najee Toran and a fast hard hitting defense led by Zach Whitley. La Porte will be their main competition in district play. Look for them to win the district title with maybe one loss in the regular season. This year they make the semifinals with a win over Houston Lamar who knocked the Mustangs out last year in the Quarterfinals. We have them facing San Antonio Madison which is a winnable game also.
- Chris Says: Galena Park North Shore is one of those teams that always fields an excellent team and always comes up just a tad short of winning a title (except for that one in 2003.) This year, they will once again field a very strong team that will fight it out with La Porte for the District 21-5A crown. The Mustangs will once again go strong into the playoffs and should make it to the semi-finals.
