Mike Says:The Cardinals bring back 8 offensive starters from last years playoff team. They will need to lean on that group to improve this year. Only one player though returns that was 1st Team All-District last year. Look for them to go 4-6 or 3-7 in the regular season. The game against Austin High may decide who gets that 4th playoff spot.

Chris Says: Austin Del Valle will fight for their life in District 15-5A after graduating most of their starters off a sub .500 team. Coach Charles Burton doesn't walk into an easy situation but if he can get these Cardinals to buy into his system and believe in themselves, they could nab the final playoff spot. It is going to take a lot to make that happen.
