Battle on the Border featuring three Texas schools

The Battle on the Border is becoming an annual event pitting teams from border states - Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Arkansas in a three-day battle.

This year, the same three Texas teams have been invited back - Lufkin, Gladewater and Longview. In 2014, only Longview won at the event.

2015 Landers Dodge Battle on the Border High School Football Showcase Schedule:
Thursday, Sept. 10
El Dorado, Ark. Wildcats vs. St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, La.) – 7 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 11
Shades Valley Mounties (Birmingham, Ala.) vs. John Curtis Patriots (River Ridge, La.) – 6 p.m.
West Monroe, La. Rebels vs. Lufkin, Texas Panthers – 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 12
Gladewater, Texas Bears vs. Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, La.) – 11 a.m.
Warren Easton Eagles (New Orleans, La.) vs. Evangel Eagles (Shreveport, La.) – 2 p.m.
Maumelle, Ark. Hornets vs. Neville Tigers (Monroe, La.) – 5 p.m.
Longview, Texas Lobos vs. C.E. Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, La.) – 8 p.m.

The event takes place in Shreveport, Louisianian and provides fans of high school football with seven games in three days.
