The Mart Panthers were not content to watch McLean being the only record-breakers of the day. The faced off against Gruver Greyhounds in the UIL Class 2A DI Texas High School Football State Championship and left no doubt with a record-breaking - score.
The records started to fall before the end of the first half as Mart's 63-12 lead broke the 2A record for total points in a state championship game. Also, by the break Tyrek Horne had already notched 6 rushing TDs. This broke the 2A record for that as well.
