Lufkin football – the latest documentary

The Lufkin Panthers are the latest team to be a subject of a documentary film.  Being the owner of a production company the last eight years, I do not envy the task that filmmaker Jamie Patricof has before him.  It takes an awful lot to get a story from great idea to interesting film.

They certainly have chosen a good football program to focus on and hopefully, will turn out an excellent film.  Lone Star Gridiron will pay close attention over the next year as the story and film develop.

It appears that efforts like this are popping up all over the state - here, Southlake, Katy, you name it.  Whether any of these will rival POWER, PASSION & GLORY (the film about the Celina Bobcats) remains to be seen, but rest assured - being a football fan and filmmaker myself, I will be checking them all out.
