Notes:
Fort Bend Elkins will tie the school record for most consecutive winning seasons at 2 in 2009. They snapped an 8 year losing streak in 2008 which is the longest in their 16 year history. If you believe that games are won in the trenches then the Knights will be in great shape led by Jake Matthews, the son of Houston Oiler great Bruce Matthews. Look for Elkins to battle for that 4th playoff spot and finish the season around 6-4. A trip to the Area round of the playoffs would be a surprise.
