5A Euless Trinity was able to repeat with a 47-17 win over Arlington who they beat 48-14 in the same round last year.

Three teams are going for the 3-peat this year. 1A Canadian, 4A Austin Lake Travis and 5A Katy are trying to do what Waco (1925-1927), La Marque (1995-97) and Southlake Carroll (2004-2006) have only done. Sealy (1994-1997) and Celina (1998-2001) are the only schools to win 4 in a row.

4A Kerrville Tivy Quarterback Johnny Manziel ran for 138 yards, passed for 272 yards and scored 4 TDs in a 38-31 win over Port Lavaca Calhoun.

1A Goldthwaite got another shutout with a 34-0 win over Joaquin. The Eagles have shut out 8 of their 13 opponents.

1A Albany Running Back Elijah Hudson ran for 201 yards and 4 TDs in a 52-13 win over Lindsay.

4A Longview was down 20-0 to Waxahachie before scoring the games last 29 points for a 50-26 vicroty. They will be making their 6th appearance in a State Semi Final game.

5A Katy Cinco Ranch advances to the state semifinals for the first time in school history this week.

4A Denton Guyer and Longview will match up again in the semifinals like they did last year. Longview defeated Guyer 41-30 in 2008.
