Texas Stadium to be Imploded April 11th

It is the end of an era, a sad day for football fans in Texas. April 11th, the city of Irving will be imploding Texas Stadium - the former home of America's Team, the place with the hole in the roof so that God could watch his favorite team play, and the home to some of Texas high school football's greatest memories.
The implosion will take place at 7 o'clock in the morning. The public is welcome -- $25 per car. The money will be donated to charities.
It is a bittersweet day for us at Lone Star Gridiron as we have witnessed so many great high school games there over the past couple of decades, including the last ever high school game to be played there. The saying goes, as a door closes, another opens, so the time has come to move these traditions to the new Cowboys Stadium.
