Updated: April 10, 2010
Clear Falls from League City has hired Mike Zierlein as their first head coach.
Zierlein has been the head coach at Austin Akins for the past 3 seasons. He finished his 3 seasons with the Eagles with a 4-25 overall record. They finished 2-7 last year but they did get their first district win since the 2006 season.
Clear Falls will open up next year with freshman and sophomores. The schools first varsity football season will be in 2012.
Before coming to Akins, Zierlein was an offensive coordinator at Lamar Consolidated and an assistant coach at Bay City before that.
