Coaching Changes — North Crowley
-
Updated: April 2, 2010
North Crowley has named Keeath Magee as their new head coach. Magee comes over from Fort Bend Willowridge and will replace Mike Pappas who was released after last season.
Pappas has been the head coach at North Crowley for the last 12 seasons. He had an overall 51-77 record but the Panthers did win the Class 4A Division I state title game in 2003 going 11-4 during one of the schools best seasons. North Crowley has fallen on tough time lately though going 1-9 last season and 11-30 over the last 4 seasons.
Magee spent only one season at Willowridge but he lead the Eagles to their first non-losing record since 2004. He also ended their 14 game losing streak. He has also been a head coach at Houston Westbury where he turned around their program also. He had a 12-8 record and led Westbury to their first ever undefeated District Championship and reached the area round of the playoffs. Before starting his head coaching career he was the Co-Offensive Coordinator at John Tyler from 2005-2006. Before then he was the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Lockhart 2003-2004 and finally the Passing Game Coordinator at Temple from 2000-2002.
North Crowley will be in with the tough Arlington schools in District 4-5A. The other schools in this district are Arlington, Arlington Bowie, Arlington Sam Houston, Arlington Lamar, Arlington Martin, Fort Worth Paschal and Weatherford.
