Twelfth Annual 2010 Texas Football Classic Teams announced

A press conference will take place at the Alamodome’s Sports Club at 1 p.m. on April 8th to officially announce the 10 Texas high schools that have been contracted to participate in the 2010 Texas Football Classic. Head football coaches and representatives from each of the 10 schools will be on hand for this unveiling.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football produces the Texas Football Classic, a three-day event played at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The first game will take place on Thursday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m., followed by one game on Friday, Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m., and the Texas Football Classic ends with a tripleheader on Saturday, Aug. 28 with games at Noon, 3:45 p.m. and the finale at 7:30 p.m.
The lineup this year will be:
Thursday August 26th – 7:30pm – Uvalde vs. Seguin
Friday August 27th – 7:30pm – Abilene vs. Belton
Saturday August 28th – Noon – Richmond Foster vs. El Paso Hanks
Saturday August 28th – 3:45pm – Gregory-Portland vs. Port Neches-Groves
Saturday August 28th – 7:30pm – Georgetown vs. Killeen Harker Heights
The staff of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, which organizes and manages the annual Texas Football Classic, is thrilled with the 10 schools that have been selected. All participants have impressive traditions and valued playoff experience.
The inaugural Texas Football Classic, in 1999, featured a one-day tripleheader. The Texas Football Classic was then expanded to four games and two days in 2001, before it was expanded to three days and four games in 2004.
Lone Star Gridiron has had a long-standing relationship with Dave Campbell's Texas Football and plans to once again ring in the new season at the Alamodome alongside our partners at this years Classic.
