Q. What are your thoughts on the game?

A. We are always excited to play Abilene High. Great game for both teams and it should be a very good close game.

Q. What does this mean to your team to start the new year against a big rival?

A. Team is pumped. Only team to beat us last year in regular season.

Q. What kind of atmosphere do you expect?

A. We will have a huge crowd. San Angelo Stadium is a great place to play High School football. It holds 17,500 and it will be close to full.

Q. Other thoughts about the rest of the season?

A. We are looking forward to a great year. We should be similar to last 3 years if we can stay healthy.

CHRIS SAYS: These two are now in separate districts and both are expected to win theirs. Last year Abilene surprised a Central team that a lot of folks thought were better with a 31-24 victory. This year, San Angelo Central gets revenge.

MIKE SAYS: The Eagles will need to get that strong running game going again this year to win. We have them ranked very closely but Central will want a little revenge and they are at home. The BOBCATS win it 31-26!!
