Frisco Liberty will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions.
Pool A: Frisco Liberty Plano Lake Dallas Wylie East
Frisco Liberty is the host and will feature WR Cameron Brown 20-202 3 TD Rec. and WR Malcolm Hill. Plano comes in as the only team in this pool to make it to the state tournament last season and they will be led by QB Connor Michelsen and WR Murat Kuzu. Lake Dallas lost in two semi-final games last season including this tournaments. Wylie East is one of the new schools that will begin varsity play this year.

Pool B: Lewisville Hebron Plano East Frisco Wakeland Richardson Pearce
Every team in this pool made the state tournament except Frisco Wakeland and they did not play any SQT's last season. Richardson Pearce was the runner up in last seasons SQT here and will once again bring a great team. Lewisville Hebron is loaded and will feature QB Kyle Aubuchon, RB Devin Flynn (898 yards 5 TDs rushing), WR JR Kiante' Griffin, WR Kurt Walker, LB Lawrence Varnado and DB David Jenkins 27 tackles 2 INTs. Plano East will bring a loaded team featuring RB Martin Terrance, WR Ryan Garrey, LB Sam Trotter and DB Lyndell Johnson 72 tackles 3 INTs 4 PB.

Pool C: Frisco Coppell Sulphur Springs Mesquite Horn
Coppell was the only team in this pool to qualify for state last season. They will bring a very talented team that includes QB Joe Minden, RB Cam McDaniel (1210 20 TDs rushing 595 7 TD receiving), LB Brandon Mullins (105 tackles 25 TFL 12 sacks) and DB Bennet Okatcha. Frisco will be led by WR Willie Forbes and Sulphur Springs will feature ATH Sharard Timmons. Mesquite Horn will bring a ton of talent in QB Collin Strahan, WR JaCorey Shepherd (46-672 7 TDs Rec committed to Iowa), WR Jakeem Grant, LB Kyle Boyd and LB Lance Williams.

Pool D: Wylie Richland Denton Guyer Garland
This is the WOW pool and will be worth the price of admission. Garland is the only team in the pool that did not qualify for state last season but will feature RB Jordan Spencer (672 yards 5 TDs rushing) and DB Oliver Houston. Wylie is one of those teams that is always a tough out. Richland won this sQT last year and will bring some great players in WR Lorenzo Smith (54-687 5 TDs Rec.) and LB Nico Ornelas. Denton Guyer will be the team that everyone watches with their leader QB J.W. Walsh 1554 yards 22 TDS rushing 2599 yards 27 TDs passing Oklahoma State Commitment. His talented teamates will include RB Treavon Walton 339 yards rushing, WR Quentin Gardener 43-616 5 TDs, LB Blake Terry and DB Josh Stewart 62 tackles 5 INTs 18 BR COMMITTED to Texas A&M.
