Graham has named Kenny Davidson as the new athletic director and head coach for the Steers. He will replace Brad McCoy who had resigned earlier in the year.
McCoy took a position at The Flippen Group which is a company that focuses on developing talent and organizational skills in terms of sports, business and education. He coached the Steers for five seasons where he posted a 39-22 record and led them to the Class 3A Division II finals last season.
Davidson has been at Graham since 2005. He was hired by McCoy from Fort Worth Christian School. He spent 14 years there as athletic director and coach and won a TAPPS 3A state championship in 1991. Prior to that he coached at Borger, Amarillo Highland Park and Georgetown. At Graham he was the defensive coordinator and has been for the past five years.
Graham will be a member of District 6-3A along with Bowie, Burkburnett, Iowa Park, Vernon and Wichita Falls Hirschi. The teams 14 wins last season was most in school history.
