Coaching Changes — Lone Oak

Lone Oak has promoted Dean Lasseter to be their new athletic director and head football coach. Lasseter replaces Randy Jackson who has led the Buffaloes over the last six years.
Jackson ends his time at Lone Oak with a 50-20 overall record. He took over at team that had gone 6-14 in the two previous seaons before he arrived. Coach Lasseter has been the defensive coordinator for Jackson during the past five years. He has also been an assistant at Sulphur Springs.
The Buffaloes will be a member of District 6-2A Division II for the next two seasons along with Alba-Golden, Corsicana-Mildred, Edgewood, Red Oak Life and Scurry-Rosser. They are currently on a five year winning streak.
