Coaching Changes — Midland Greenwood

Midland Greenwood has hired Shad Hanna to be their next athletic director and head coach. Hanna will replace Steve Taylor who resigned earlier in the year and then went on to take the thletic director and head coach at Brownfield.

Taylor finished his fifth year with the Rangers with an overall record of 36-22. His team went 6-4 last season but they missed this playoffs for the first time in 11 years. They lost a coin flip with Andrews and Seminole after a three way tie for second place and only two playoff berths available.

Hanna comes over after leading Alpine for the past four years. He had an overall 31-12 record with the Class 2A Fightin’ Bucks, including a 9-2 record last season.

Greenwood will be a member of a 5 team District 4-3A along with Andrews, Fort Stockton, Monahans and Seminole. They are on a four year winning streak but have a close to .500 record of 19-14 record over last 3 seasons.
