A&M Consolidated will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions.
Pool A: A&M Consolidated, Tyler John Tyler, Magnolia West, Weslaco
A&M Consolidated has gone 1-2 in SQT play this year and will be led by RB Chris Nutall. Weslaco participated in the Mission Sharyland SQT ealier in the year and will bring a good team. Magnolia West and Tyler John Tyler will both be playing in their first SQT of the season. Magnolia West will rely on QB Wes McCord while Tyler John Tyler will bring a ton of talent. They will feature RB Julius Johnson-Bush, WR David Bush Committed to TCU, WR Tarik Spencer, LB Antjuan Lee, LB Benjamin Gordon and DB Chris Hackett Committed to TCU.

Pool B: Austin Anderson, Brenham, Bryan Rudder, Pasadena Dobie
Austin Anderson has gone 1-2 in SQT play this year and will be led by QB Sam Wehmeyer. Brenham will feature one of the best WR's in the state in Derek Edwards 58-814 10 TDs Rec. Committed to Texas Tech. along with FB Marcus Wilkins, ATH Christian McBride, DB Rodney Hubert Committed to SMU and DB Desmon Mathis 68 tackles 6 TFL 6 sacks. Bryan Rudder and Pasadena Dobie will both be participating in their first SQT of the year. Rudder a 3A team will be led by WR Michael Jones.

Pool C: Bryan, San Antonio Brandeis, Lexington, Lufkin
Lexington a 2A school has already qualified for the state tournament in Division II. Bryan, San Antonio Brandeis and Lufkin will all be playing in their first SQT of the year. San Antonio Brandeis will be led by TE Nicholas Short and DB Quincy Adams. Bryan will feature WR Joseph Bryant and Lufkin Lufkin will be led by their talented QB DeAuntre Smiley – 796 yards 13 TDS rushing 1409 16 TDs passing.

Pool D: Tyler Lee, Cypress Ranch, Gregory-Portland, Houston Bellaire
Gregory-Portland will be making their first showing in a long time at this SQT. So far this year Tyler Lee has a record of 1-2, Cypress Ranch is 3-3 and Houston Bellaire has gone 1-5 in SQT play. Tyler Lee will be led by the talented trio of WR Dennis Edwards, WR Marquise Mosley and DB Cortland Browning commmitted to Missouri. Houston Bellair will feature RB Christian Dolphus, WR Chisolm Ibeh and LB Arnold Blackmon.
