7 on 7 — The Woodlands Division I SQT Pools And Picks

SQT will be played on 06/12/10

The Woodlands will be the host of this SQT. Here are the pools, players to watch and of course our predictions. Jay Darneal who has coached a 7-on-7 team 7 consecutive years to the state tournament, been a coach, officiated, written, broadcasted, and played football will pick with us!!

Pool A: The Woodlands, Klein Forest, Willis, Fort Bend Hightower

The Woodlands has already qualified for the state tournament and will be the host. Klein Forest has gone 0-3 this year in SQT play but they lost all three by a total of 12 points. They will be led by superstar QB Matt Davis along with TE Kristian Bryant and LB D.J. Simon. Willis has a 2-1 record in SQT play and will feature WR Damien Bishop. Fort Bend Hightower went 1-2 last week and will be led by RB John Parrham 482 yards 4 TDs rushing, WR Clyde Lee and WR Ed'Marques Batties.

Pool B: Cypress Falls, Spring, Spring DeKaney, Katy Cinco Ranch

Cypress Falls has already qualified for the state tournament. Spring has gone 1-2 in SQT play this year. Spring DeKaney will be making their first showing this year and will be led by WR Greg Livingston. Katy Cinco Ranch has a 4-5 record in SQT play this year and has not played as well as predicted. They will feature superstar RB K.C. Nlemchi 2388 yards 28 TDs rushing 315 yards 4 TDs receiving commmitted to SMU and WR Bobby Waid.

Pool C: Klein Oak, Cypress Fairbanks, Tomball, Conroe

Cypress Fairbanks has already qualified for the state tournament. Tomball has a 2-4 SQT record this year while Klein Oak and Conroe will be playing their first of the season. Klein Oak has a couple of nice targets in WR Tory Waites and TE Max Stevenson 19-314 2 TDs receiving commmitted to Oklahoma. Conroe will feature RB Dontarious Thomas and WR Caleb Kroon.

Pool D: Cypress Creek, Conroe Oak Ridge, Klein, Klein Collins

Klein Collins has already qualified for the state tournament. Klein and Conroe Oak Ridge will be playing in their first SQT of the season while Cypress Creek has a 4-5 record. Creek will rely on QB Chuckie Keeton 1096 yards 14 TDs rushing 1366 yards 10 TDs passing, RB Jermichael Selders 1533 yards 23 TDs rushing and RB Cameron Gary. Klein will be led by DB Eric Rowe 125 tackles 5 INTs.
