Notes:
The Knights are primed to have a great season even though they are moving up to Class 5A. They may have the best RB in the country in Brown. The defense with its six returning starters led by DL Anderson and LB Simmons will also be solid. The Knight will battle Converse Wagner, Converse Judson and New Braunfels for the district crown. They should finish up with a 7-3 or 8-2 record and go to the Regionals. Since they moved up to 5A they dont have to worry about meeting up with Austin Lake Travis in the playoffs who they have lost to the last 2 years in the Area round. Coach Jinks is one of those coaches that really "gets it." He moved out of the toughest district in 4A and into what should actually be an easier regular season. The schools may be larger this year, but he will have his team ready come playoff time.
