2011 Coaching Change: Raymondville Bearkats
Old Head Coach: Alex Leal -- Retiring from coaching to become the athletic director. He led the Bearkats for the last five seasons to a 32-22-0 record. It was his second stay at Raymondville having been the head coach from 1973-1979 also going 51-18-4. He was also the head coach at 4A Rio Grande City 1980-1981 2 years 7-13; 3A Port Isabel 1982-1984 3 years 32-5; 5A McAllen 1985-1992 8 years 52-29-1 and Harlingen South 1993-1999 7 years 44-32-1. Coach Leal has an all-time coaching record of 219-118-6 which puts him in 48th place on the all-time coaching wins list. He is the all-time winningest coach at Raymondville.
New Head Coach: Joe Gonzalez -- Was the offensive coordinator for the Bearkats.
