Klein ISD Athletic Director Will Retire

Robert Young will retire at the end of the school year after being the districts Executive Athletic Director since 2003. Young started off his career quickly taking over the head coaching job for Class 1A Rivera. He stayed there two seasons (1972-1973) going 20-2. He left to become the defensive coordinator at Victoria High where he stayed for four seasons.

After that, Young went to Texas A&I to be their defensive coordinator. He then came to Klein Forest to be the defensive coordinator in 1982. He became the head coach in 1984 and stayed their until 1990. His overall record during that time was 32-38-5. He was then hired as the Klein ISD assistant athletic director in 1991 and became Executive Athletic Director in 2003.
