2011 Coaching Change: Denver City Mustangs
Old Head Coach: Terry Summers -- Resigned after leading the Mustangs to 65-61-0 record over the last 12 seasons. Coach Summers leaves as the 2nd all-time winningest coach in Denver City history.
New Head Coach: Steve Taylor -- Returns to the Mustangs after being the head coach from 1992-1997. He had an amazing record of 49-13-1 during his time at Denver City. His other head coaching jobs have been at 2A Ozona 1999-2003 5 years 43-17-0, 3A Midland Greenwood 2005-2009 5 years 36-22 and 3A Brownfield 2010 1 year 3-7-0. He began his coaching career with the Mustangs as an assistant in 1981. He has retired twice now from coaching and has come back better than ever each time.
Team News: The Mustangs have had 5 consecutive non-winning seasons. The most wins in any season over last 9 years is only 7 wins (twice).
