Round Rock Stony Point beat DeSoto in their only two all-time match-ups last season. In the regular season, the Tigers beat the Eagles 46-29. They then met up again in the Quarterfinals where the Tigers won again in an amazing game 72-48. This season Stony Point has struggled with a close win and then a loss to #87 Wagner. DeSoto though has been winning big and winning big games especially a 32 point win over a Top 20 team in Cedar Hill.

Mike Says: DeSoto is led by QB Raheem Wilson, RB Devin Rushing and OL Curtis Riser on offense. Their defense features lots of stars like DB Bryson Echols, DL Michael Richardson and LB Alexander Lyons. Stony Point only completed 3 passes during their loss to Wagner. For their two games they have passed the ball 33 times and ran it 91. The Tiger defense keeps them in games with LB Marcos Curry (22 tackles) and DL James Hart (15 tackles) leading them. DeSoto is very explosive on offense and Stony Point will need to pass to keep up. This is no contest, DeSoto gets revenge for those big losses last year. The EAGLES win 42-21!!
Chris Says: DeSoto looked like a team of men among boys when they whooped up on the Oklahoma team on national television. Sure, it was only an Oklahoma team, but they looked SOLID! I am stoked to be going to this game just to watch DeSoto. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Stony Point Tigers, but after watching DeSoto take the 7 on 7 title, I am ready to see them in pads. DeSoto will get the win and RR Stony Point will earn some respect 35-28!!
