Week One: 11 Great Games

 

Garland Rowlett and Rockwall played the "Battle for Lake Ray Hubbard". Garland Rowlett won this years classic 34-14. The all-time series (started in 1996) is now tied at 7-7. Garland Rowlett's head coach Kiff Hardin won his 150th all-time game during the victory.

Longview defeated Tyler John Tyler 38-22. Longview has now won 10 of the last 12 games since 1994. They also lead the all-time series 11-7.

San Saba beat Goldthwaite 35-29 in one of LSG's games of the week. San Saba snapped Goldthwaite's 7 game winning streak in the series and are now 4-14 vs. Goldthwaite since 1994.

Lufkin defeated Tyler Lee 38-20 and now leads the all-time series 35-15-1. Lufkin's DL Demontrai Lewis is off to a great start this season and is a key factor in Lufkins 2-0 start.

Corpus Christi Calallen beat Gregory-Portland 21-0 to improve their all-time record vs. the Wildcats to 25-30-1. The Calallen victory was also head coach Phil Danaher's 300th win at Calallen.

Gilmer defeated Tatum 34-0 in one of LSG's games of the week. Gilmer now leads the series 12-4 since 1994 in this East Texas Rivalry.

Idalou beat Littlefield 27-6 to improve to 4-5 vs. Littlefield since 2002. They also snapped Littlefields 3 game winning streak.

Austin Lake Travis defeated Pflugerville Hendrickson 43-14. They now lead the series 8-0 since 2004 and have won by a combined score of 368-122.

Texarkana Texas cruised to a 31-6 victory over Jacksonville. Jacksonville won the 2010 game but Texarkana Texas leads the series 8-1 since 1994.

Beaumont West Brook beat Beaumont Central 20-14. They now lead the all-time series 16-8 and have won the last 8 in a row.

Klein Collins won their 22nd straight regular season game with a 30-21 triumph over Cypress Lakes.
