Mike Says: This game features the best defenses in the district. Wagner really made people stand up and notice when they defeated Judson a few weeks ago. Steele has been featured twice in our games of the week and they have come out winners both times. The Knights quarterback Tommy Armstrong keeps things exciting on the offensives side with 857 passing yards, 700 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns. Their defense features LB Devere Carrington (83 tackles), LB Ross Luensmann (80 tackles), DL Eric Maus (4.5 sacks 29 tackles) and DB Erik Huhn (6 INTs 38 tackles). This one is all Steele. The KNIGHTS win 34-10!!!
Chris Says: Okay, the only real question here is... do we call the Thunderbirds "San Antonio" Wagner or "Converse" Wagner? I'm going to go with Converse just because it sounds cooler in my opinion. A couple years back, nobody would have believe this was going to be a good matchup, but what a difference a couple years makes. Converse Wagner is a much improved team and even though Steele is still sporting a perfect record, they have shown some signs of being human. Are they human enough to lose to Wagner? I'm not so sure. While, I don't think this will be a blowout, I do think the Cibolo Steele KNIGHTS take it 24-17!!!
