Austin Reagan Hires Rival Defensive Coordinator

2012 Coaching Change: Austin Reagan Raiders
Old Head Coach: Paul Darby -- Retiring after leading the Raiders for the past 7 years to an overall 8-62 record. Coach Darby was the assistant principal at Reagan for four years before becoming head football coach. He played college football at Southwest Texas State before playing in the NFL for the New York Jets in 1979 and 1980.
New Head Coach: Keith Carey -- Was the defensive coordinator at Austin McCallum for the past 3 seasons. Before that he was the defensive coordinator at Fort Worth Polytechnic for two seasons. He was also an assistant at Richardson Lake Highlands and Carrollton Turner.
Team News: The Raiders are on a 13 game losing streak and a 8 year losing streak. They will remain in District 26-4A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Austin Crockett, Austin Eastside Memorial, Austin Johnson, Austin Lanier, Austin McCallum and Austin Travis.
