2012 Coaching Change: Andrews Mustangs
Old Head Coach: Jeff Cordell -- Re-Assigned after leading the Mustangs for the past 4 seasons to a 20-24 record. His all-time coaching record is now 62-43. He coached at 4A Greenville from 2006-2007 going 6-14 and at 3A Gainesville from 2003-2005 going 36-5. His 2003 Gainesville team was the 3A Division I state champion.
New Head Coach: Ralph Mason -- Was the Mustangs offensive coordinator. He just arrived at Andrews this season before having to take over as the head coach. He came over from 2A Muleshoe where he had been an assistant and offensive coordinator for the past 18 seasons. He has also coached at Morton and Gilmer. He has been an offensive coordinator in 27 of his 33 seasons.
Team News: The Mustangs will be moving to District 2-3A from 4-3A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Levelland, Lubbock Cooper, Lubbock Estacado, Seminole and Shallowater.
