Coach: Tim Buchanan (19 years) 201-51-3 at Aledo (#1 in All Time Wins at Aledo); 201-51-3 all-time coaching record
Coaches Comments: The Bearcats should make a good run in the state playoffs. We will be much improved on Defensive but with the loss of Johnathan Gray RB-UT, Matt Bishop QB-Tarleton State, Michael Wilson LT-OSU, Hayden Lambert LG-Texas State, Latham Johnson RT-Lindenwood Univ and Michael Mann we will struggle to produce points early but Pate Davis will be a dual threat at QB and eventually get the offense going. District Outlook: I don't know much about our new 7-AAAA district with the six FWISD schools but I expect Aledo, FW Southwest, FW Arlington Heights and Granbury to contend for the top 4 spots. OD Wyatt and Western Hills could also make a run one of the four spots.

2011 JV Record: 10-0
Notes:
* Are the three time defending state champions
* This year they will have to do it without superstar RB Jonathan Gray who was our 2011 Class 4A Player Of The Year
- Mike Says: The Bearcats had a great winning tradition before Jonathan Gray and now they look to continue that tradition. They have now won 3 straight titles and will hard to knock out this year. This years team lost most of their offense but have some great young talent to fill. Last season they scored 885 points which was 2nd all-time to Refugio's 891. The defense came around last year giving up 117 points in the first 3 games and only 237 over last 14. The defense will be just as tough this year with LB Johnson and DB Wood. Look for them to go 9-1 or 10-0 in the regular season and with the district championship. They have some great non-district games with Dallas Highland Park and Stephenville. They could make it as far as the Quarterfinals again this year. Denton Ryan will provide the toughest competition in the region.
- Chris Says: Aledo has quietly (if that is possible) won three straight state championships. Their three-peat (I think I owe Pat Riley money for using that term) has been overshadowed by the five straight by Austin Lake Travis. Do they have a fourth in them? Actually, they could. Sure, Jonathan Gray is gone, but so are the two state champions in Class 4A. That leaves the door wide open. I know I am asking a lot for the Bearcats to win the title without a game changer like Gray, but stranger things have happened.
