Mike Says: I am surprised that we have not featured either one of these teams this year. Lake Travis was featured in 6 games last year going a state best 6-0. They even won a Game Of The Week against Westlake last year. Westlake went through a rough stretch early on falling to 1-3 to open the season. They started to roll though one district play started. If you take the 4 district opponents that both teams have played, Westlake has outscored them 184-26 while Lake Travis has outscored them 154-44. Looks like an advantage to Westlake there. Also, Lake Travis superstar WR Zach Austin is out for the season season with an injury. Still looks like Westlake will take this one. Lake Travis has stepped things up with QB Baker Mayfield who is always featured in our For The Record section and JR RB Vashaun Nixon. Its going to be another "Great Lake Showdown" with the district championship up for grabs. Lake Travis continues their winning streak in our games of the week. The CAVALIERS win it 26-21!!

Chris Says: Lake Travis is not only has a pretty impressive streak of state championships, but their streak in LSG Games of the Week is sitting at an unheard of 6-0. The "Great Lake Showdown" is a chance for Austin Westlake to end that streak. I think that even with Lake Travis' Zach Austin out, the Cavaliers seem to have a deeper team. The CAVALIERS move to 7-0 in LSG Games of the Week 28-24!!!
