Coaches Comments: Have a chance to be special on defense. Toughest District in the State. We expect to compete for a District and State Title. We were 7 minutes away from a state championship so we are having one of the best off seasons We return 7 starters on defense with another 2 players We only return 3 on offense, but our Juniors to be have a very talented group of
offensive skill guys. We feel that this is one of the strongest group of leaders we have had. They are very hungry to make a name for themselves. We graduated a ton of offensive skill 4 D-1 receivers. Our young offensive guys are ready to prove how special they are District Outlook: Cedar Hill, Desoto, Midlothian, Mansfield, Duncanville, SGP, Mansfield Timberview, Grand Prairie.

Mike Says: The Longhorns made a historic run last year making it all the way to the championship game. They did this after starting the season 1-3 and then finishing win a 10-1 run. This year team will showcase a lot of play makers on defense like DB Marcus Green and Xavier Washington. Their may concern is finding a new QB. Look for them to have a game of the week clash against DeSoto for the district title. They open the season with one of 4A's best in Denton Guyer and then play one of 5A's best Allen the next week. We have them beating Waco Hewitt Midway in the Quarterfinals and then falling to Austin Westlake in the Semifinals.

Chris Says: Cedar Hill will battle it out with DeSoto for the District 7-5A crown. Last year DeSoto took it at home in a great game. This time, it is a home game for the Longhorns. I am very impressed with their defense this offseason and expect great things on that side of the ball. Cedar Hill may be the smallest school in the district, but they play as one of the biggest. Expect a run to the semifinals and if they can come up with some surprises on offense, maybe a title shot.
