Mike Says: This series has been back in forth over the years but Aledo has won when it counts in the playoffs. Last week Stephenville held on to get a payback win over Monterrey Tech, MX who beat the Yellow Jackets last year. Aledo on the other hand, just kept piling it on winning easily over Dallas Highland Park in one of our Games Of The Week. We have both of these teams going far when it comes playoff time. Aledo really showed something last week and that was that they could be a championship team. It going to be another big week for Bearcat fans. The BEARCATS win 34-28!!

Chris Says: I caught some flack for saying that Dallas Highland Park was "pretty close" to Aledo last week and the Bearcats dismantled the Scots. Stephenville edged out Monterrey Tech last year to move to 1-0 also. So the question is... who is better? Well, you really can't tell a lot from a week zero win or loss... to me, those are the closest thing to a scrimmage you have with the scoreboard running. Both these squads have now had a tune-up game and both are ready to play "for real." Here is where I have to ask myself which team is going to go farther in the playoffs? I think that edge goes to Stephenville. It begins this week with a victory over Aledo. The YELLOW JACKETS win 24-21!!!

LSG Intern Zach Says: I’m all on board with Aledo after what they did to a good Dallas Highland Park team last week. I love Stephenville’s Jarrett Stidham and see him as one the best players, not just quarterbacks, in the state. Just can’t get past how impressive that Bearcat defense was last week. Bearcats 28-20.
