Lone Star Gridiron 2014 Texas high school football players of the year

Winner: QB Luke Bishop (Aledo)

Luke Bishop was a superman for Aledo.  The QB not only led Aledo to their 2nd consecutive state championship, but took the field on defense making the game saving intercepting to seal the victory.  The Senior QB rushed for 169 yards, passed for  122 yards and was responsible for 4 total TDs in the 49-45 win.

In addition to a great title game, Bishop was stellar all season. He passed for 2,700 yards and 33 TDs and ran for 1,034 yards with 11 TDs.

2. QB Chad President (Temple)

In 2014, Chad President threw for 1,781 yards and ran for 865 yards leading Temple to their first championship game since 1992.

3. QB Cade Dyal (Kerrville Tivy)
Dyal threw for 3,716 yards and 42 TDs leading Tivy to the Quarterfinals.

4. RB Ronald Jones (McKinney North)
Jones carried the ball for 2,009 yards and 28 TDs leading McKinney North to the Quarterfinals
