1952 2A - Terrell 61, Yoakum 13
Mike Says: Mineola was our pre-season #1 team. Yoakum was a our #10 and we thought they would have trouble with Hallettsville and Malakoff. Both teams have been to only 1 state championship game and both are 0-1. Yoakum was last here in 1952. Mineola is on a roll winning their last 2 playoff games by 85 points. Yoakum has won their last 3 by a combined 10 points. Yoakum will want to keep it close so that they have a chance in the 4th which is where they play their best ball. Mineola will have none of that though. The YELLOW JACKETS win it 40-27!!
Chris Says: Mineola has some unfinished business from last year and the year before that. Most of their starters are back on both sides of the ball. Mineola takes care of business by 10.
Glen Says: Another of my favorite teams in championship weekend. Yoakum and the fabulous Moore twins. This begins quite a Christmas for the Moore twins with Jordan set to announce his commitment on a Christmas Eve and their birthday was tonight. Yoakum wins by 6
Grant Says: Mineola by 1 possession
Terry Says: Mineola by 1 possession
