Littlefield Continues Tradition with Green
Littlefield's Head Coach Bryan Huseman retired after leading the Wildcats for the past 16 years. Longtime assistant and Defensive Coordinator Brent Green will take over. This will be Green's first head coaching position.
Huseman retires with a 132-61 coaching record all with Littlefield. He led them to the 2006 Class 2A Division I Championship game versus Tatum. The 132 wins puts him in a tie for 303rd place in all-time coaching wins.
Coach Green will have a lot to live up to. The Littlefield Wildcats currently have a streak of twelve consecutive non-losing seasons. Coach Green's history with the team should make for a smooth transition as he has been with the school for 22 years and has some talented veteran players returning from a 9-4 team that made it three round deep into the playoffs last year.
